Biography (Brief introduction)
Prof. Xing is currently a professor with the Department of Electronic Engineering, Xidian University. He holds the appointment of Associate Dean of the Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies. His current research interests are synthetic aperture radar (SAR), inversed synthetic aperture radar (ISAR), sparse signal processing and microwave remote sensing.
He received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Xidian University, China, in 1997 and 2002, respectively. He received the horror-nomination of National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award in 2004 and first prize of Shaanxi province Nature Science Award in 2018. He supported by the major funding: the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Young and Middle-aged Leading Talents of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation, New Century Excellent Talents in University. He is IEEE Fellow. Currently, he serves as the associate editor for SAR research of IEEE Trans. Geosci. Remote Sens. He also serves as the Guest Editor of the Special Issue “InSAR in Remote Sensing” of IEEE Geosci. Remote Sens. Mag, and as the Guest Editor of the Special Issue “Automatic Target Recognition of High Resolution SAR/ISAR Images” of Sensor.
Pro. Xing's research has been supported by various funding programs, including the National Science Foundation of China, China “973” Program, Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University and China “863” Program and so on.
Pro. Xing’s work has resulted in more than 281 peer-reviewed scientific journal and conference articles (such as, 49 papers on IEEE Trans. Geosci. Remote Sens., 49 papers on IEEE Geosci. Remote Sens. Lett., 8 papers on IEEE J. Sel. Topics Appl. Earth Observ). In addition, he has authored or co-authored two books about SAR signal processing, and has achieved over 40 authorized China patents.
